On Friday, Sept.13, Mrs. Rutten and four members of the Student Leadership Team went to P.E.I. to attend the 10 day National Student Leadership Conference! Thanks to everyone who supported them and made the trip possible. It will be an amazing experience for Halle Dote, Marissa Owens, Kacey Valentine, and Brooklyn Zacharias. A HUGE thanks to Mrs. Rutten for organizing the trip and taking the girls. There are also members of the SLT attending the Provincial Conference in Lloydminster this week. Kaelie Bouchard, Katelyn Fuller, Breanna Kehler, Emily Klatt, Payton Littlechief, Shayna Nicolay, Megan Shirley, Grace Smyth, Brooke Valentine, and Mackenzie Valentine are being accompanied by Mr. Saltel for this event. It's a busy time of year for the SLT.

The Cross Country Team has started practising. Practices are Mon. to Fri. after school. Runners choose which days they can make it. They train 3-4 times a week, sometimes around town and sometimes in the hills north of town. The Division Meet is in Carnduff on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013. Grade 9-12 athletes who qualify by finishing in the top ten of their category, advance to Provincials in Loon Lake (North of North Battleford) on Oct. 12.

Friday, September 27, is the last day for senior students to withdraw from classes.

There is no school on Monday, Sept. 30, due to a Staff Development Day.

Students in grades 7 to 10 Home Ec. are asked to bring to class a pair of old jeans to "upcycle" - make into a totebag, purse, wallet, etc. They can also bring in any extra jeans they may have. In addition, they can bring buttons, beads, or any other accessories they might have at home to decorate their project.
