Gordon F. Kells High School Cougar Corner

This week school was scarier than usual since the GFK Student Leadership Team had students involved in many fun, Halloween themed, spirit building activities during lunch breaks this week.

This week school was scarier than usual since the GFK Student Leadership Team had students involved in many fun, Halloween themed, spirit building activities during lunch breaks this week. Thank you to all of those who supported the magazine campaign fundraiser. A dance is planned for the near future and a new TV for the hallway lounge area will be purchased. Last week was Hat Day to raise money for Breast Cancer research. Students and staff had fun sporting some pretty crazy lids while supporting a very important cause.

The Grade 12 ELA Class is excited about the upcoming trip to the Globe Theatre in Regina next month. They will get to see "The Wizard of Oz" performed live in The Globe's unique "theatre in the round" venue.

Report cards will be going out next week. Be sure to contact your child's teachers if you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress.

GFK school picture retakes are on Thursday, Nov. 1st.

On the weekend of Nov. 23, Arcola School will be hosting the 2A SHSAA Boys' Provincial Volleyball Championship. Games will also be held in the GFK gymnasium. Action starts up at 1:00 pm in both schools and concludes with the championship final at 5:00 pm in Arcola. Come out and see some incredible volleyball action at this provincial competition.
