Volleyball playoffs are underway! Mr. MacLean and Mrs. Reaves hosted the Rookie Girls' Division Playoffs in Carlyle. The Carlyle girls finished 3rd. Mrs. Beaver's Rookie Boys split into two teams to compete at the Division Playoffs in Yellowgrass and Weyburn. One team finished first in their pool while the other team finished 2nd in their pool. This meant they had to go head-to-head in the semi-final. In the end, one Carlyle team finished 1st in the division and one Carlyle team finished 3rd. A special thanks goes out to Katie Matthewson and Mr. Johnson who helped Mrs. Beaver coach. Mr. Birch and the Intermediate Girls' Team had some great games at their Division Playoffs in Radville last week. Brea Slykhuis and the Senior Girls' Volleyball Team finished 2nd at Conference Playoffs on the weekend. This means they advance to Regionals in Langenburg. Congratulations to all the teams!

Report Cards went home on Tuesday, Nov. 8. If parents have questions or concerns, they should contact the school.

Our Remembrance Day Service was held on Wednesday, November 9th. Mrs. Bieberdorf organized the service, the grade 9, 10, and 12 students who took part in the service, and any students who helped set up for the program. We also would like to thank the Legion Members who took the time to come to our service. They were Mr. Jack Beatty, Mr. John Voutour, Mr. Harvey Rounce, and Mrs. Audrey Young. Thanks goes to the cadet members who carried our flags into the service: Daniel Procyk, Nathan Ingram, Gavin Walters, Lucas Kennedy, and Liam Shirley. We also would like to thank Constable Kirk Butt from the R.C.M.P. for participating and Jessie Tweitmeyer for being our trumpeter.

On Thursday afternoon, the middle-years students participated in spirit-building activities including volleyball, Pictionary, hall skiing, and Minute to Win It. They showed a lot of school spirit by being all decked out in their team coloursface paint and everything. They had a lot of fun while learning more about teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.

The male members of the high school staff will be helping to raise funds for prostate cancer research by participating in a Movember Moustache Growing Contest.
