On Monday, February 3, the grade 10-12 students began the 2nd semester of the school year. This means that there is a new schedule and that report cards will be going home soon.

Report Cards for Grades 10 to 12 will be handed out Wednesday, February 5th. (No report cards will be handed out or printed for students in Grades 7 to 9.)

The curling teams continue to practise and play. The Sr. Girls' Team has their playoffs on Feb. 11th and 12th right here in Carlyle. The top 2 teams will then compete at Regionals on Feb.14th and 15th. The Jr. Curling Playoffs are Feb 7th and 8th. The Mixed Playoffs are in Wawota, the Girls Playoffs are in Maryfield and the Boys Playoffs are in Arcola.

The senior and junior drama clubs have started up again this year. In April, Carlyle will be hosting the Regional Festival. This festival will be running from Thursday, April 10, till Saturday, April 12. There are currently 9 plays registered.

There is an SCC Meeting on Wednesday, February 12th, 2014 at 7 pm at GFK High School.

Friday, February 14th, is the last day to hand in Pizza Booklets with money for the GFK Van Fundraiser.

Don't forget to advance purchase your 2014/2015 Yearbook forms by Friday, February 14th, 2014.

There is no school on Monday, February 17th, due to Family Day.

Junior and Senior Badminton is starting up. Juniors will have open gym practice on Mondays after school while Seniors will have open gym nights on Tuesdays.

On the last Thursday of the month, students from the G.F. Kells High School will be out in the community for 2 hours after school (3:15-5:15). They will be volunteering their time to make our community a better, cleaner place. If you would like some extra help, we are here for you. The next Day of Help is Thursday, February, 27. Please contact Miss Wiebe via email: [email protected] with your ideas for Day of Help!
