Check Out the Library: Wow! With the emphasis on reading in our school, and the push to fill the shelves with new reading material, our fiction collection has grown to more than 4,000! The recent popularity of apocalyptic and "zombie" books has resulted in many new titles. New books are currently being displayed in the library. There is definitely something for every interest and level. Book requests can be brought to Mrs. Richardson.

The Senior Girls' Curling Team had their playoffs on Feb. 11th right here in Carlyle. They made some great shots during the day, including a beautiful double take-out for a win by skip Nicole Brown. But at the end of the day, they finished with 2 wins and 2 losses. Great job Brooklyn Zacharias, Kacey Valentine, Renae Faford, and Nicole Brown. A huge thanks to their coach Christina Birch and to this year's Curling Commissioner Amy Rutten.

Badminton season is here! Juniors have open gym practice on Mondays after school while seniors have open gym nights on Tuesdays.

The senior and junior drama clubs are busy preparing their productions. In April, Carlyle will be hosting the Regional Festival. This festival will be running from Thursday, April 10, till Saturday, April 12. There are currently 9 plays registered.

Report Cards went home 2 weeks ago. Parents, make sure you check them out. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's teacher.

On the last Thursday of the month, students from the G.F. Kells High School will be out in the community for 2 hours after school (3:15-5:15). They will be volunteering their time to make our community a better, cleaner place. If you would like some extra help, we are here for you. The next Day of Help is Thursday, February, 27. Please contact Miss Wiebe via email: [email protected] with your ideas for Day of Help!
