Last week, Miss Sweet and Mrs. Bieberdorf took the junior boys' golf team out on the course in Carlyle.

Last week, Miss Sweet and Mrs. Bieberdorf took the junior boys' golf team out on the course in Carlyle. Cale Fleury, Mitchell Morrison, Tommy Cappo, Talen King, Clayton Hill and Dalton Loustel all competed to fill the four spots available to play in the tournament in Weyburn on Thursday. The boys dealt with the chilly weather and a short period of rain, but continued to play without complaint. All of the boys had some excellent shots, but Cale ended the day with the top score followed by Mitchell, Tommy and Talen. A special thanks goes out to Ray Fenwick who joined the team on the course and offered some helpful tips. On Thursday, September 22nd, Miss Sweet took Cale, Mitchell, Talen, and Tommy to the Division tournament in Weyburn. Not only did the boys golf well considering the windy conditions, but Miss Sweet received several comments about how respectful the GFK golfers were! Amazing work boys!

The cross country team has been running in the hills getting ready for the Division Cross Country Meet in Weyburn on Oct. 5. The SHSAA Provincial Meet will be at Middle Lake on Saturday, October 15.
