The G.F. Kells Drama Club presented For Whom the Tinkerbell Tolls and Anonymous at the Regional Festival in Moosomin on April 1st and 2nd. The club put on an amazing performance of Anonymous on Friday night which had the crowd spellbound. The crowd's collective gasp at the climax of the play was something that the festival adjudicator said he had not heard in more than 20 years. Mr. Howe summed it up best after the play when he said, "They nailed it!" On Saturday afternoon, the club was back at the Moosomin Theatre performing the comedy For Whom the Tinkerbell Tolls. The crowd loved the zany characters and the crazy outfits and gags. Overall, it was a very busy weekend for the 21 students who attended. They went to a workshop on characterization, a workshop on improvisation, and 2 adjudication workshops. They also had 2 technical rehearsals, attended 5 other plays, and performed their own 2 plays. Likewise, they had an awards banquet and ceremony. On the Friday night, they also went to a dance where the GF Kells Drama Club won the dance contest. Congratulations to the drama club for being selected runner-up at the festival. There were also some individual awards given to G.F. Kells Drama Club members. Cole Grimes and Tenille Rutten received Technical Merit Awards; Nick Schmidt, Megan McAuley, Tavia Williams, and Bjorn Rekken received Acting Certificates; Emily Klatt and Rachel Corrigan received Acting Medals; Rachel Corrigan and Nick Schmidt received the Unsung Hero Awards; and Chantal Day received the Best Back Stage Manager Award. Congratulations to all the cast, crew, and directors including: Rachel Corrigan, Nick Schmidt, Emily Klatt, Brooklyn Zacharias, Bjorn Rekken, Cody Slykhuis, Kady Reaves, Tavia Williams, Santana Pylatuik, Brianna Beatty, Chantal Day, Chelsea Humphries, Marijke Meyer, Cole Grimes, Tenille Rutten, Jasmine Pylatuik, Daysha Smith, Brittany Vogel, Jordan Gudmundson, Megan McAuley, Mariah Blohm, Ms. Stephenson, Mr. Zacharias, Mr. Dyck, and Mr. Howe. We're all very proud of you

Badminton continues with rookie and junior practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:00. The rookies and juniors have been playing exhibition games at home against Wawota and Manor in the past few weeks. They look forward to travelling to Arcola, Manor, and Wawota for more practice games. The rookies and juniors will have their Regional Playoffs on Wednesday, April 20 (Rookies in Arcola and Juniors in Carlyle), and Division Playoffs on Saturday, May 7 (Rookies in Maryfield and Juniors in Carnduff). Please contact Miss Down or Mr. Zacharias if you have any questions. Senior Badminton is currently underway. Practices are scheduled for Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00, but additional practices will be added in the coming weeks. For more information in regards to Senior Badminton please call Mr. Fehrenbach.

Parents are reminded to be judicious when selecting family vacation times during the school year. It is incredibly difficult for senior years' students to catch up in semesterized courses upon their return, especially when they've been away for 10 school days. Examination times are especially delicate. Provincial exams can only be written on specified days and at the specified times. There are no exceptions.

Anyone who is interested in advertising on the school's virtual signs should contact Mr. Howe at the school.
