聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The Friends of Moose Mountain Lodge - with the help of generous volunteers and local businesses - kicked off the Canada 150 celebration season with a red and white-themed tea party at the Lodge on Thursday, June 22.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 聽鈥淲e really wanted to do something special for the residents and the community to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary,鈥� says organizer and Friends member, Carolyn Shirley. 鈥淚t's a special year for Canada and we opened up the tea party to the residents and anyone else who wanted to attend.鈥�
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淚t's a great celebration and the Friends of Moose Mountain Lodge are grateful to everyone who attended and especially to those who contributed to our Canada 150 tea party,鈥� says Shirley, who along with her husband, Jim, donated the door and raffle prizes.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淭he Bargain Shop even supplied Maple Leaf-shaped cookies and 麻豆视频ern Plains Co-op supplied treats and sent some of their staff, who helped serve,鈥� she adds. 鈥淎nd they were joined by the Gordon F. Kells High School work experience girls.鈥�
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淚t's a special year for Canada and it was a special day for the residents of Moose Mountain Lodge,鈥� says Shirley. 鈥淭hanks to everyone for coming out 鈥� and Happy Canada 150!鈥�
