ESTEVAN - Four people have been arrested after the Estevan Police Service executed search warrants on Thursday and Friday.
According to a news released issued by the EPS Friday afternoon, the arrests came as a result of a drug trafficking investigation by police. Members of the Joint Tactical Support Team, comprised of Estevan and Weyburn police officers, deployed on Sept. 21 and 22 to execute search warrants in two residential neighbourhoods in Estevan.
Four adults have been arrested as a result of this investigation. Any charges they are facing and their names were not immediately released by the EPS.
In an update on its website posted Saturday morning, the Estevan Police Service says officers have cleared the scenes in the 400-block of Third Street and the 400-block of Willow Park Greens.
The EPS says no further interruptions are anticipated to residents in these neighbourhoods.
According to the EPS, further information with respect to the investigation will be forthcoming.
The investigation is ongoing. No further details were provided.
