SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - The fog that has blanketed southeast Saskatchewan since Wednesday afternoon is causing problems on highways in the region on Thursday.
Environment Canada issued a fog advisory Wednesday for the southeast, including Regina, Estevan, Weyburn, Carlyle, Carnduff, Moosomin and other areas. The advisory has since been lifted.
The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure's shows that winter conditions exist on some southeast highways. Visibility is listed as reduced or poor on highways closer to the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border.
These highways also report such challenges as wet subject to freezing, or icy or slippery sections.
In the Estevan and Weyburn areas, the Highway Hotline says seasonal driving conditions exist with good visibility.
