聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 White Bear First Nations was home to a celebration at the Post-Secondary School where 11 individuals graduated from a program ran by Brass Enterprise.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Annie Brass with Brass Enterprise began offering programming in 2005, but Brass has been working with people in this capacity since 2003. 聽Although she is based mostly in Saskatchewan
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淓very year we challenge ourselves to find new and helpful ways that will inspire people on their healing paths,鈥 the program is described on their website: www.brassenterprise.com. 鈥淲hile sharing some laughs we also promote healing and recovery through workshops and entertainment.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Brass Enterprise focuses on bringing Wellness Workshops, Life Skills Programs, Parenting Program, and Anti-Bullying School Programs.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The four-week program on Life Skills which was run in White Bear focused on communication skills, writing resumes, prepping for interviews, dressing for success, and focusing on the skills they already have and building on them.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Brass was very proud of those that participated saying, 鈥淚鈥檇 like to recognize Gaylene Sparvier and Germain Desnomie for facilitating a great program.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淭he program focused on building skills and expanding on the qualities people already had as individuals. The program was a big success.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淭he group members really opened up and got to a place where they could really learn and see the path they want to go on. There are a few who want to become entrepreneurs, some are looking to further their education, and others just wanted to get back into the work force and simply needed some help with their resumes.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淚t鈥檚 wonderful to have such a small group of people come away with a variety of successes throughout the program.鈥
