聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 Dayzi's Donuts and Coffee made its debut in Carlyle on Monday, April 2. The community's newest coffee shop will be serving up some new options alongside some old favourites.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淵es, we'll be serving Carlyle Bakery cinammon buns and our specialty donuts,鈥� says proprietor Laurie Day with a smile. 鈥淎long with coffee and other goodies.鈥�
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淎nd we're hoping to expand our lunch line soon - we'll also be serving pizza by the slice, sandwiches, chili, stew, soups and more,鈥� she adds.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Day and partner Steve Lothian say Dayzi's was a natural expansion of Carlyle Bakery's business, as Dayzi's will also serve as the point of sale for the Carlyle Bakery's goods.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淚 wanted to add more retail space for the bakery on this side, because we could really use more room for production,鈥� says Lothian.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淎nd I wanted to get back into the coffee shop business again,鈥� says Day. 鈥淚 had a coffee shop here in Carlyle about nine years ago. I ran it for 5 陆 years and I really missed it - especially my customers.鈥�
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淚'm really looking forward to welcoming customers - old and new - to Dayzi's,鈥� adds Day. 鈥淲e're planning on possibly having our official grand opening on May long weekend, so our customers from the lakes can join us, too.鈥�
