聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 Chartered Professional Accountant Brent McLean is making his hometown his home.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Carlyle native - along with his wife LaTonya and young sons, Rogan and Renner - will make their permanent home in the community, as McLean, a CPA and CA with Regina-based accounting firm, Dudley & Company LLP opens the company's Carlyle office.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淚'm looking forward to being back in the community,鈥� says McLean. 鈥淚 studied at the U of R (University of Regina) and I articled at Dudley & Company there for about two and a half years and I've worked for them in their Regina office ever since. But I've played hockey and baseball within the community here for about 15 years, so in a way, I've never really left this area.鈥�
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 MacLean will be in his Carlyle office Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. On Mondays and Tuesdays, he'll return to Dudley & Co.'s Regina office.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淚've worked 10 years so far in this field and I already have some clients who started with me in Saskatchewan and have since moved away to live elsewhere, but they've chosen to stay with me,鈥� says McLean. 鈥淚 really value those long-term relationships with clients and that's something I hope to continue here in Carlyle.鈥�
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Through their Carlyle office, Dudley & Co. offers a 鈥渇ull range of accounting services,鈥� according to McLean. These include: compilation engagements, review engagements and audits for corporate clients and non-profit organizations, family farm transfers, municipal audits, bookkeeping for companies and individuals and corporate and personal tax returns.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淲e'll eventually be looking at adding more staff,鈥� says MacLean. 鈥淎nd we also have Rob Nicolay, a lawyer with Bridges & Company LLP in Estevan working here on Mondays.鈥�
