ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Council is currently formulating a strategic plan for the community. This ongoing process will take several weeks and during this time, members of council will guide the budgeting process for 2018.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Envision Counselling
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Tania Hlohovsky Andrist of Envision Counselling visited council members and explained Envision's expanded range of services in the area to accompany a request for the Town of Carlyle to consider sponsorship. Hlohovsky explained that all of Envision's services are free of charge. Initially, the organization focused largely on the areas of interpersonal violence and family counselling. Since then, Envision has seen a need for outreach in schools - specifically addressing young people about healthy relationships and dating and the ongoing challenges that social media poses to youth.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Staff Sgt. Darren Simons of the Carlyle RCMP detachment gave council an update on policing within the community of Carlyle and the wider detachment area. Simons stated that although the Carlyle detachment is dealing with ongoing staffing issues, he is committed to ongoing training and cooperating with other detachments and policing agencies in an effort to keep the community safe.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Simons stated that car thefts and various types of attempted fraudulent activities continue. However, he reminded council that if citizens secure their property and exercise caution if an offer seems βtoo good to be true,β many of these types of crimes could be largely alleviated.
