      Carlyle Town Council held their regular meeting Wednesday, March 15 at the Carlyle Civic Centre. Council's next regular meeting will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 5 at the Civic Centre.
           Property Taxes
           Council is considering lowering the 2017 mill rate and is discussing other options concerning this year's property tax assessment. In addition, they have already decided to eliminate several major expenses from the Town of Carlyle's 2017 budget in an ongoing effort to reduce the burden on property taxpayers.
            Carlyle welcomes new doctor
           The Town of Carlyle welcomes Dr. Ishpinder Singh Ranu and his family to the community. Dr. Ranu is practicing at Carlyle's medical clinic.Â
