The City of Weyburn is requesting residents to restrict the use of water, due to maintenance repairs of the city's raw water line.

WEYBURN – Effective as of 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, the City of Weyburn is asking residents to reduce water consumption and non-essential water use. The advisory will remain in place until further notice.

The restriction is due to maintenance repairs of the raw water line, which is the water supply line to the City’s Water Treatment Plant from Nickle Lake.

Ways you can immediately reduce your usage include:
1. Do not run the tap unnecessarily
2. Do not run washing machines or dishwashers
3. Flush toilets only when necessary
4. Reduce showering or bathing

Weyburn Utility Board users and residents in the RM of Weyburn should also consider reducing water consumption until further notice.

Updates will be made as more information becomes available.
