The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP was involved with 51 calls between Oct. 4 and Oct. 10.
False Calls
A false 911 call was received.
Two alarms in the area were also attended, though they were found to be false.
Animal complaint
There was a complaint of a cow being on a road in the area. RCMP attended, but the cow was gone. Patrols were made along the road, but members were unable to locate any cattle.
Assaults
An altercation between two relatives occurred though the victim didn't want to press charges.
Assault with a weapon was reported and is currently under investigation.
Assistance to the public
CBC was on someone's property and he didn't want them there. The news crew was gone before RCMP arrived at the scene.
Break and enter
A break and enter was reported at White Bear Lake Resort where a cabin received minor damage. There are currently no suspects, though the matter is still under investigation.
Crime Prevention
Cpl. Kelly Guider attended the high school to speak with various classes about crime prevention and the law.
Failing to appear
A person was charged with failing to appear in court on an impaired charge. A warrant was issued for their arrest.
Hit and run
A semi truck was struck along its rear near the propane tank by an unknown vehicle, which left without reporting the accident.
Fire
Complaint of a vehicle fire was received. An individual was driving their vehicle and experiencing issues, so they parked. The vehicle later burnt due to an electrical problem.
A bailer was also reported to be on fire. No one was injured although the machine was destroyed.
Gun shots
Gun shots were heard north of Carlyle. Members attended, but were unable to locate anyone with a firearm.
Alcohol offences
An impaired driver hit the ditch and was transported to the Arcola hospital where they were treated for minor injuries. It was discovered the individual was on parole with a condition requiring them to abstain from drinking. The driver was remanded in custody for breaching parole and charged with impaired care and control of a vehicle as well.
There was a complaint received by RCMP of an impaired driver. Members attended, but the suspect had already left the scene and was not located.
A vehicle travelling 130 km/hr in a 100km/hr zone was stopped. They received a speeding ticket of $150; but, were also given a fine for $360 as there was open liquor in the vehicle.
A complaint of an intoxicated female north of Carlyle jumping in front of traffic was reported. Members attended immediately and located the woman who was charged with being drunk in public and lodged until sober. She was released to family once she was sober and advised to seek counselling.
Unregistered vehicles
A vehicle with an unregistered trailer was stopped and issued a ticket of $175.
There was a vehicle stopped for being in poor condition for the roads and it was discovered the vehicle was also unregistered. The driver was issued a fine of $580 and a light vehicle inspection was also issued.
Traffic infractions
A ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign was issued to a 22-year-old female for $230.
Sixteen speeding tickets were issued: $504 to a 24-year-old male for travelling 172 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone, $212 to a 27-year-old female for travelling 146 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone, $150 to a 30-year-old male travelling 110 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone, $136 to a 35-year-old male travelling 106 in an 80 zone, $135 to a 35-year-old male travelling 105 in an 80 zone, $182 to a 52-year-old man travelling 111 in an 80 zone, $184 to a 59-year-old woman for travelling 112 in an 80 zone, $194 to a 60-year-old man travelling 131 in a 100 zone, $135 to a 27-year-old male travelling 105 in an 80 zone, $186 to a 28-year-old male for travelling 113 in an 80 zone, $150 to a 70-year-old man for travelling 110 in an 80 zone, $182 to a 17-year-old male for travelling 131 in a 100 zone, $137 to both a 20-year-old and a 38-year-old male who were each travelling at 107 in an 80 zone, $138 to a 32-year-old female travelling 108 in an 80 zone, and finally $192 to a 58-year-old woman travelling 116 in an 80 zone.
Three separate complaints of speeders were called in though RCMP were unable to locate the vehicles upon searching.
An erratic driver was charged $280 for driving without consideration of others. Witnesses had recorded the licence plate information and the RCMP were able to charge the registered owner.
A vehicle was stopped for having tint on its side windows as well as its tail lights. A ticket of $115 was issued for each infraction and the owner was given a light vehicle inspection notice.
Theft
A drive shaft header was reported as having been stolen near Antler, Sk. The matter is currently under investigation.
Vehicle collisions
A tractor trailer unhitched while it was being hauled. No one was injured and no further accidents were caused. The trailer did not block the roadway, but the matter is under investigation to determine if charges should be laid.
There was a complaint of a motor vehicle collision. A young driver lost control on a gravel road and rolled the vehicle. The driver and passenger were taken to the Arcola Hospital for minor injuries and were later released. No charges were laid.
The final collision took place when an individual lost control of their vehicle on gravel and went through the ditch into a slough. The driver was shaken, but not injured.
