The adult male seen walking south of where the incident occurred on Range Road 2044 has come forward, contacting RCMP yesterday evening. He has spoken with investigators and he is not considered a suspect in this incident.

No charges have currently been laid in the death of Christian Bouchard.

Investigators are asking any land owners/the public in the Arcola area to report any recent property damage (for example, damage to barbed wire posts/fences), including vehicle tracks leaving roadways and auto body parts found.

On Saturday, December 6, 2014, at approximately 3:10 a.m., Carlyle RCMP were called to a report of a possible hit and run on Balmoral Avenue approximately one kilometer from the community of Arcola, Saskatchewan. Four adult males in a white van discovered a deceased adult male lying on the road.

While attending to the male and waiting for emergency services to arrive, a white GMC Sierra truck drove past the group. The truck stopped and an adult male got out of the vehicle showing signs of impairment. Carlyle RCMP arrived on scene and arrested the driver of the truck and impounded his vehicle.

The 25-year-old male is charged with:

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý 1 count, impaired operation of a motor vehicle, section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý 1 count, impaired operation of a motor vehicle exceeding 80mg, section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code

He will appear in Carlyle Provincial Court on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.

Initial investigation has revealed that the deceased, Christian Thomas Bouchard (DOB: 1980/08/24) from Lampman, SK. had been at a Christmas function at a hall located on Balmoral Avenue in the community of Arcola. He was last seen walking on Balmoral Avenue towards a work camp at approximately 2:20 a.m. on December 6. All of his belongings, including his wallet and cell phone, were located in close proximity to him. Carlyle RCMP, RCMP General Investigation Section and RCMP Major Crime Unit Â鶹ÊÓƵ, with the assistance of the Office of the Chief Coroner, continue to investigate and no charges have currently been laid in the death of Christian Bouchard. An autopsy will be performed on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Saskatoon City Hospital.

The RCMP have received reports that an adult male was seen walking south of where the incident occurred on Range Road 2044. The adult male is described as having a slim build with dark hair and a dark beard, wearing a black hat, dark plaid jacket and jeans. This person may have information regarding this incident. Anyone with information on the adult male described above or observed any vehicles traveling in the area between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 are asked to please contact Carlyle RCMP at 306-453-6707 or, if you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
