听 听 听Carlyle's Home Hardware store has once again received national recognition by the company's head office as owner Nancy Matthewson has been chosen to appear in Home Hardware's Christmas commercials which will air starting on December 1 鈥渙n the big networks as well as a good number of specialty channels,鈥� according to Ron Mugford, Home Hardware's creative director.

听听听听 鈥淥ne is a 30-second commercial and one is a 15-second sale commercial that Nancy will appear in as well,鈥� added Mugford. 鈥淭he Christmas commercial with Nancy goes to air December 1 until Christmas, and the Christmas sale TV commercial featuring Nancy goes on air December 3 to December 12.鈥�

听听听听 Matthewson found out in January that she would be appearing in the chain's 2014 Christmas commercials.

听听听听 鈥淚 auditioned at the [Home Hardware] 2013 Spring Market,鈥� she says. 鈥淚t was filmed in the Orillia [Ontario] store. It's kind of weird. You read these lines over and over again, but when I saw the commercial, it's seconds-long.鈥�

听听听听 鈥淚t seems like a long time to come up with a commercial, but it was an interesting experience.鈥�
听
听听听听 The commercial is the most recent recognition the store has received nationally. Since building the store on Railway Avenue, Matthewson, her husband Gilles and their staff have received three consecutive 鈥淧roud of My Home鈥� awards from the company, making Carlyle Home Hardware the top store in Saskatchewan for the past two years.

听听听听 Matthewson credits their staff and customers for much of听 the store's success.

听听听听 鈥淢y staff is golden, for sure,鈥� she says. 鈥淵ou can tell when you walk in the store, what a great staff we have.鈥�

听听听听听 鈥淥ur customers from our entire trading area are amazing. Because of their support, we're able to contribute to causes and organizations within our entire trading area,鈥� she says. 鈥淭hey're really pumped for us and we're so grateful.鈥� 听
