The Prairie Dog Drive-In movie theatre was host to the 2020 Carlyle grad students on Thursday, June 18.
The evening was organized by Emily Bouchard and was attended by the graduating class, parents and others.
Bouchard referred to the challenges of celebrating high school graduation activities this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, “There is lots of pros and cons, having a video to look back on and the students having had to find other ways to celebrate graduation. It turned out beautifully.â€
Gordon F. Kells High School teacher Dean Zacharias made up a graduation ceremony video which was formatted like a regular graduation ceremony and shown on the big screen at the Prairie Dog Drive-In.
Zacharias spent over 70 hours producing the video, using videos from earlier individual events and ceremonies that each graduate had send to him.
Alexis Lachapelle also remarked, “We made the most of it. Thanks to all the teachers putting an effort into it, we do have this moment.â€
