Carlyle Fire & Rescue was called out to a single-vehicle rollover at the junction of Hwy 9 and Hwy 13 near Carlyle on Tuesday, June 12 at 15:40 hours. First arriving officer on the scene saw that it was a tractor trailer hauling dangerous goods that had rolled, blocking both lanes of the highway. Initial survey was completed and it was noted that the driver has removed himself from the cab of the tractor unit with the assistance of bystanders and that the tank was leaking dangerous goods. After transfering product from the damaged trailer to another tank truck, the overturned tractor and trailer were placed back on its wheels, using two bed trucks and a picker. The highway was then cleaned up of remaining hazardous goods and re-opened to the public. Crews were on the scene for approximately four hours.
