Carlyle Dickens Village Festival won’t happen in 2020
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers of the Carlyle Dickens Village Festival have announced there will not be a festival this year. The town council has decided this was the best option.
The festival’s organizing committee has celebrated 17 successful editions. Their usual challenge has been the weather – yet it took a pandemic to cancel the 2020 Dickens Festival.
Many organizations and businesses have benefitted from the festival’s success. Carlyle and area is on many people’s radar because of the family friendly weekend.
The organizers are hopeful that 2021 will allow them to have their spring and fall thrift sales, plus their 18th annual Dickens Festival on Dec. 3, 2021.
Keep your chin up and stay safe.
