There's a land faraway, just beyond the North Pole, where the mountains are dusted with sugar and fields of lollipops grow. From the candy cane lampposts to the chocolate streams, everything in this secret world is made of something sweet. This land of winter wonders is what Carlyle Elementary Community School students will be creating in the next two weeks for the Dickens Festival. Be sure to check out the gingerbread houses at Dickens. Each class at C.E.S. is decorating their own gingerbread house and they will be part of the silent auction.

Mrs. Dureault's Grade 6 class raised $541.50 doing a penny drive for clean water for kids in Africa. This will help 21 kids in Africa have clean water for life. Thanks to everyone who donated to it!

Girls circle started last week and will run until December 19th. The Girls Circle is a model of structured support groups for girls. It is designed to foster self-esteem and help girls maintain authentic connection with peers and adults in their community.
