Carlyle has been home for Kelly Lutz, his wife and children for almost 13 years. Lutz has been a full-time member of the community as he works at Carlyle Auto Parts for the entire time that he has lived in the town of Carlyle.
Lutz raised his family in this community and now has two grown children and one grandson.
He鈥檚 one of two incumbent councillors in the field, and hopes to be re-elected when voters go to the polls Nov. 9.听听
鈥淚 have enjoyed working with the current members of council, and being able to help residents whenever possible. I am looking forward to working with the new council if I am re-elected this term,鈥 Lutz states.
Lutz understands that his community has gone through a rough patch just like many other communities in the province due to COVID-19 and the issues surrounding the oil and gas industry.
Those being main sources of income it is understandable how people have been struggling.
鈥淚 would like to help the town get through this rough patch dealing with COVID-19 and the downturn in the oilfield economy,鈥 he said.
Lutz was elected at a by-election and has high hopes that he will be able to have a full term on council. Lutz has many ambitions for the community of Carlyle such as getting the splash park finished for the children in the town.
鈥淚 would like to go through the strategic planning session with the new council, and continue to see our infrastructure being upgraded鈥
Lutz believes that that the council has been there for its community in the past and wishes that same support in the future.听听鈥淚 think council has continued to build on the past while dealing with current needs.鈥
