聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 It鈥檚 the day we all celebrate being Canadian on, July 1, and in Kisbey the volunteer Fire Department, Kisbey Rec Centre, Rebekahs, and the Elks will be holding their 4th Annual Kisbey Canada Day BBQ.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The fun starts at 10:30 a.m. and runs throughout the day ending at 4 p.m. The event will be held at the Kisbey Rec Centre where the organizers welcome everyone to join in celebrating Canada鈥檚 148th birthday.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Available throughout the day are bouncy castles, face painting, cotton candy and popcorn, , tug-of-war, music, the fire equipment race, BBQ lunch (hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, and desserts), a canteen is open, and the fire trucks will be on display. Other fun games for kids include the three-legged race, potato sack race, balloon toss, and egg race.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Carnival style games with prizes are a new edition to the fun day according to Kisbey Fire Chief Rob Cobb.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淭his year, we are introducing Carnival style games like duck pond and ring toss for people to try their luck to win prizes,鈥 Cobb explained.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Raffles will also be held throughout the day including a queen sized Canada day quilt which was made by one of the volunteer firefighters鈥 wives.
