Norma Jones of Estevan has been an artist all her life, working in mixed media, acrylic, jewellery and watercolour. She paints still life, portraits, and does cutwork watercolours.Â
The cutwork watercolours are made with pieces of rice paper, cut out, stained and secured with a mat medium (like a glue). The painting is very textured and uses the layers to create depth.
She enjoys the challenges presented by the exposure to different types of art and artists she has experienced over the last three years at the retreat.
