ESTEVAN - Blanche Keating has two reasons to celebrate on Dec. 25.
The first, and most obvious reason, is that it's Christmas Day.
But the Estevan woman, who resides in Creighton Lodge, will celebrate her 104th birthday on Dec. 25.
Keating was born in 1917 and raised in the Weyburn area. She moved to Estevan in 1960 with her husband Francis and their 11 children after she accepted a job to teach Grade 1 at St. John's School. And she was able to remain living in her own home on First Street in Estevan until after her 100th birthday.
She has attributed her longevity to good genes, good family, good friends and a good God.
