聽 聽 聽 聽 聽On Wednesday, March 4 several area non-profit and community organizations and agencies received a total of $20,740.00 of funding from the Bear Claw Community Development Corporation (BCCDC).聽

The funding is available to groups located in three locales: White Bear First Nation, Ochapowace First Nation and the rural area encompassing the communities of Manor, Carlyle, Kenosee Lake and the R.M. of Moose Mountain.

Organizations in these communities are eligible to submit applications for funding to the BCCDC. In order to be considered for funding, the initiatives need to fall into one of these categories: Economic, Social, Cultural or Educational Development, Justice or Health Initiatives, Community Infrastructures or Recreational, Senior and Youth Programs.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Other charitable purposes that can qualify include funding for emergency situations caused by floods, fires or medical purposes.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bits & Pieces Quilt Club. Carlyle Mayor Wayne Orsted, on behalf of the BCCDC, presented the cheques at the Carlyle Town Office to the qualifying applicants.
