The Arcola Optimist Club holds a snowmobile rally each year, but due to a few conflicting matters such as COVID restrictions which mean no bar, no food and only 30 people max in the hall at Prairie Place, and also the lack of snow means they may have to come up with a more creative idea to hold the rally.

鈥淩egarding the rally, we have a few ideas but nothing concrete yet. We are going to do something. We might go virtual, and have an online registration, or we might delay the snowmobile rally part until later. The lottery draw will go ahead on Jan. 30 as planned, per our licence,鈥 said Glen Lawson, the secretary-treasurer of the club.

The lottery winner will be drawn, as stated above, on Jan. 30 5:30 p.m. at Prairie Place Hall in Arcola. Prizes include the first place winner, which gives you a choice of a 2017 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, a 2020 Skidoo Summit or a 2020 Can-am Outlander.

Second and third place prizes are both $1,000.

You can purchase tickets either by going to businesses or club members in the area, E-transferring the ticket amount to [email protected] where you will need to include your address and phone number.

Tickets are $20 each and you have until Jan. 29 to purchase them. 聽
