Arcola Family Health Clinic fundraising for panic button

The Arcola Family Health Clinic is mounting a fundraising campaign and collecting donations to have a “panic” button installed at the nurses' station in the Arcola Health Center.

The Arcola Family Health Clinic is mounting a fundraising campaign and collecting donations to have a “panic” button installed at the nurses' station in the Arcola Health Center. The Town of Arcola will issue tax-deductible receipts for donations of $21 and over.

There is increased violent behavior and a growing use of recreational drugs in Saskatchewan and our communities. The state of patients that may attend the ER in our town has changed and there is a greater chance of a hostile situation arising. There is very little chance should such a situation occur, that the nurse(s) would have time to make a phone call to contact the RCMP for assistance.

The cost to have this equipment installed is approximately $13,000.

Let's join together to make our nursing staff, doctors and hospital staff's work environment a safer place and show them we appreciate what they do!

Donations can be dropped off at the Arcola Family Health Clinic or the Arcola Town Office. For more information, please call (306)-577-8222.
