Another storm pounds Estevan and area

Estevan, and a good portion of southern Saskatchewan, was hit by another intense storm Thursday night.Although it lasted just over 30 minutes, the storm dumped one to two inches of rain on the city.

Estevan, and a good portion of southern Saskatchewan, was hit by another intense storm Thursday night.Although it lasted just over 30 minutes, the storm dumped one to two inches of rain on the city. With so much rain coming in such a short period of time, storm sewers in downtown Estevan were unable to keep up, leading to flooding in sections of Fourth Street. No reports of damage have been received as of yet. The storm also included intense lightning and pea sized hail was also reported in parts of the city. A number of homes also lost power for a short period.Elsewhere in the province, Regina was also hit with an intense rain storm that caused flooding in low lying areas. A tornado was also reported in the Wilkie area.
