Missing four-year-old girl Samantha Martyn and her parents have been found in Regina. The Amber Alert which was issued Tuesday has been cancelled. According to a report in the Regina Leader-Post, the Regina Police Service received a call Wednesday morning informing them that Samantha, her mother Natasha Sentes and father Christopher Alan Martyn had arrived at a residence in the Queen City. The alert was initially announced on Tuesday after police received a report of a safety concern for a 34-year-old female and her four-year-old daughter. It was feared the two were with Martyn, who is estranged from Sentes. Police indicated they were concerned for their safety given the couple's tumultuous past.Regina police initially issued the alert for Saskatchewan but expanded that to North America wide after receiving reports that Samantha was spotted in the Manitoba community of Manitou. There were also indications they might be headed for North Dakota. The case also has a connection to southeast Saskatchewan. Martyn, who has been taken into custody by the Regina Police Service, is formerly from Carievale. The 39-year-old is well known in the area for his checkered past. In 1991 he was charged with manslaughter after he hit Oxbow businessman Joel Olson with his car following a dispute at a bar in Oxbow. He was eventually found guilty of the charge and sentenced to two years less a day. However that sentence was appealed and he eventually received a four and a half-years sentence.
