聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The Stoughton-Tecumseh and Area Fire Department was very appreciative to receive $5,000 from Alliance Pipeline on Thursday, Dec. 7.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Trevor Sim 鈥 Land, Right of Way and Corridor Representative 鈥 with Alliance Pipeline stopped by to present the cheque to the Stoughton and R.M. of Tecumseh Fire Department, saying, 鈥淭hank you for your service and we鈥檙e happy to help out anyway we can. We appreciate all that you do.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Sim added that the donation is through the Community Investment Fund, which includes a specific Emergency First Responder Funding Initiative 鈥撀 鈥淓mergency responders are committed to keeping the public safe,鈥 writes. 鈥淎lliance Pipeline wants to help with that commitment in the communities along our pipeline. Alliance鈥檚 Emergency Responder Funding Initiative provides up to $5,000 in funding for equipment and other high-priority needs, once every three years, to emergency response organizations that serve the communities along the Alliance Pipeline.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Stoughton-Tecumseh and Area Fire Department, Fire Chief, Pat Slater thanked Sim for the donation. As a department they had already thought out and purchased equipment with the $5,000 donation 鈥 a portable Compressed Air Foam System. This piece of equipment will be beneficial when dealing with emergency calls including fires in vehicles.
