It’s getting harder and harder to pick up any news from the community – everyone around here is being very cautious and keeping themselves close to home so nothing new is really happening around our little town except for the usual day by day things.
Staying home and watching TV, maybe doing a craft or two, cooking and baking – I for one will be doing your usual Christmas baking soon. I am enjoying doing a jigsaw puzzle once in awhile, helps break the monotony of the same old, same old. If you’re sewing up a storm for Christmas, have fun. Just whatever you’re doing - do it with fun and care and caution.Â
My good Samaritans came to the farm Sunday afternoon and help to put up some of my Christmas decorations (which we found that most of them were worn out or broken).
But those that are working sure do make the yard look festive and puts one a little into the Christmas mood. We hate to admit that Christmas is getting closer and closer, so nice not to be rushed when it is almost upon us. It will definitely be another different event with this darn old COVID putting a damper into things.
Hopefully with these new restrictions happening now, when the actual Christmas days are here we can have a few more family members in attendance (five is low, so I’m hoping for 10). Time will only tell what is what.
How’s your Christmas shopping coming along? I just nicely started and am planning to do most of it close to home and via the post. However do be careful if you are out and about shopping – keep wearing your mask.
Wish to extend Thanksgiving greetings to all of our American friends and family members on Nov. 26 – hope they had a great day.
