Visiting with Dale and Holly Anthony for three days recently were his sisters Hazel Diebel and Heather Goddard as well as his brother Wayne Anthony, all from Moose Jaw.
Visiting with Brian and Margaret Peet for a few days were her mother Claire Germain and her sister Pauline Graggs, both of Regina.
Tim, Shelly, Ainsley and Edel Cowan met up with Lacie Nilsen of Estevan in Carnduff, where they helped Lacie celebrate her upcoming birthday at the Olive Branch. Happy birthday, Lacie hope you have a great day when the real day arrives and may you have many more.
I just realized what must be my problem - I’ve got Fall Supper withdrawal. Yup, that’s it. You see we should have been starting to see the fall suppers advertised and being held as it is now the season for them. Darn this COVID-19; it has put another damper on an activity that has been greatly enjoyed by many. Guess its fall supper in your own home this year. Enjoy.
Just a reminder that there is an early deadline on Oct. 8 for the Oct. 17 issue, then will be back to regular deadlines. Gee it’s hard to believe that another month has gone by and that we’re into a new month. Hope everyone will have a good October. Just so you will know, there will be no Haunted House at the Alida Rink this year – the members were not able to receive the committed help that this event required, so decided to cancel for this year. Hope to be back next year.
Please remember folks keep me posted whenever you have news – simply contact me anytime on the happenings that are going on in and around Alida as well as within your own family circle, either call me at 306-443-2496 or text 306-485-8561 or e-mail [email protected]. I will see that your news gets into a paper. I do appreciate all your input as it does help keep this column interesting.
Until next time, keep smiling, think positive, drive safely and take care.
