The face of Main Street in Carlyle has been changed as a piece of history was demolished on Sunday, Aug. 25. Originally the home of the Royal Bank, which was built in approximately 1917, the building went on to house the R.M. of Moose Mountain #63 and then offices. Ron Kyle has owned the building for 57 years and said that the time had come when the cost of repairs outweighed the usefulness of the building so he arranged to have it demolished before it became a hazard.Photo by Mary Moffat
