A "Monster Bash" for a great cause

A group of local mothers have organized a "Monster Bash" -a charity event in support of the Cornerstone Family and Youth. The non-profit, charitable organization has been providing Carlyle and area children, youth, young adults and their families with a variety of recreational and educational services for almost 10 years now.

On Saturday, Oct 27th beginning at 8p.m. and ending at 1a.m., guests to this adult-only cabaret can expect a night filled with sustenance, merriment and prizes to be won. The $10 general admission includes a late luncheon at Carlyle's Memorial Hall, which will be bumping with the sounds of a D.J. being brought in from Regina's Coyote Entertainment to help fire-up the dance floor. In addition to being automatically entered to win best-costume and door-prizes, for $15 per ticket ($10 each when you buy three) guests can enter a raffle to win the grand prize of Apple's latest iPad along with other prizes. There will also be a cash-bar with reasonably priced beverages.

Tickets for this event can be purchased at two locations in Carlyle: King's Department Store; and Carlyle R.V. and Leisure. Tickets can also be purchased in Arcola at Michael's Coffee Shop and Bakery.

This event is a first for the Cornerstone Family and Youth, which will be celebrating its 10th year of service to the community in November. For more information about this event, call 453-2666.
