The 54th Annual Inspection of the 723 Moose Mountain Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron was held Monday, June 6 in Carlyle. This year's guest of honour and Reviewing Officer was Superintendent of Schools, East, for the 麻豆视频east Cornerstone School Division, Kevin Hengen (pictured, front). Hengen said, 鈥淚t's a real honour to be here.鈥 Referencing the 72nd anniversary of D-Day, Hengen gave the cadets some advice from British wartime prime minister, Winston Churchill: 鈥淪uccess is never final. Failure is never fatal. It is courage that counts.鈥

聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The 723 Moose Mountain Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron held their 54th annual inspection Monday, June 5 in Carlyle. This year's guest of honour and Reviewing Oficer was Kevin Hengen, Superintendent of Schools, East for the Souheast Cornerstone School Division. Also in attendance was Pete Garten, Air Cadet League representative.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 This year, the members of 723 Squadron have participated in the following training activities, in addition to their regular weekly drills and skill attainment sessions: spring and fall campouts at Little Kenosee, tours of Government House, the IMAX Theatre and the RCMP Depot in Regina, Aviation Day in Oxbow, the Yorkton biathalon, Remembrance Day services, a six-day trip to Ottawa and Montreal, Operation Fire in Oxbow, Estevan's Tri-Squadron Sports Day, a senior canoe campout at Kenosee Lake, and gliding instruction in Brandon.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Lieutenant Derek Huenison said, 鈥淭his squadron through its officers, civilian instructors, parents, and various other volunteers, have worked hard over the years to offer our young adults opportunities in leadership, citizenship, technical training, flying, gliding, sports and cultural events. The cadets-through hard work and dedication-can accomplish anything they set their minds to. The skills of self-discipline, motivation, confidence, and awareness that the cadets learn will improve their lives at home, in school and in their communities.鈥

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淎nd cadets,鈥 added Huenison. 鈥淎s you leave here tonight, take time to reflect on your accomplishments.鈥
