WEYBURN - Community agencies are now welcome to submit their application for funding from the 2023 Weyburn Communithon.

The Weyburn Communithon is a local annual event raising funds to support Weyburn community agencies and their programs.

Interested organizations in Weyburn and area must complete a United Way Regina Funding Application package for consideration. Application forms are available by request; please email Kristin Gushuliak at [email protected].

The application period opened on January 10, and the deadline is Feb. 20, 2023 by 4 p.m.

United Way Regina and the Allocation Committee of the Weyburn and Area Communithon will review all applications, and final decisions on 2023 Communithon recipient community agencies will be announced after March 30.

Eligible organizations must meet the following criteria: Align with the United Way focus areas (All That Kids Can Be, Poverty to Possibility and Healthy People Strong Communities).

Use the funds in the Weyburn area specifically, are incorporated under provincial or national jurisdiction, are a registered charity in Canada; and will assign a representative to the Communithon Committee.

The Weyburn Communithon is tentatively scheduled for Friday, October 27, 2023.

The Communithon has a rich history of helping to raise much-needed funds for community agencies, and the programs and services that are provided in the Weyburn area.

In the past 40+ years, it is estimated that over $4 million in funding has returned to the community, because of the hard work and dedication of the Communithon Committee.

Keep watch of the Communithon Facebook page and website at www.communithon.com for more information about the 2023 Communithon.
