Members of the Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club are offering residents some respite from the snow and cold by playing duplicate bridge at the Wheatland Senior Centre.

Members of the Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club are offering residents some respite from the snow and cold by playing duplicate bridge at the Wheatland Senior Centre. Here are the club's results for the last few weeks of play:

*On January 12, four tables played. Marg Stewart and Gord Bell placed first, Marion Brown and Jean Knibbs were second, and Andy Dumba and Quint Patrick finished third.

*On January 10, when four and a half tables played, Gord Bell and John Whitell had a strong game placing first, Bernie and Don Dufour came second, Barry Mactaggart and Marg Stewart finished third followed by Barb Fellner and Chuck Widdis who were fourth.

*Three tables played on January 5 when Jim Brown and George Gilles came out on top and Bernie and Don Dufour placed second.

*On January 3, the year started with four and a half tables out. Barry Mactaggart and Diane Bell finished in first place; there was a tie for second between Lucie Nickel and Lydia Milleker and the team of Keith Eichel and Doyle Thomas; and following in fourth place were Gord Bell and Rick Wanner.

*December 29 also had three and a half tables that played. First place went to Jim Brown and George Gilles; second place went to Barb Fellner and Chuck Widdis and there was a tie for third between Lucie Nickel and Millie Nimegeers and Bernie and Don Dufour.

*Three-and-a-half tables played on December 22 when George Gilles and Quint Patrick took top honours, Warren Betker and Keith Eichel finished second and Anne Balzer and Marion Brown placed third.

*On December 20, there were three and a half tables when Jim Brown and John Whitell placed first and there was a tie for second between the partners of George Gilles and Andy Goeres and the pair of Gord Bell and Marg Stewart.
