Children who have an interest in learning how to act, or are just looking for some fun activities over the upcoming Easter week break, can sign up for a drama camp to be held by Weyburn actress Bernadette Mullen.
She will hold the camp for two age groups, for those aged seven to nine, and those who are 10-12 years.
The camp will be held at the Wheatland Community Church building from April 5 to 9, with the seven-to-nine group coming from 10 a.m. to noon, and the 10-12 age group from 1 to 3 p.m.
鈥淲e鈥檒l be doing lots of games, and kids can come out and have some fun,鈥� said Mullen, after holding a free one-day acting workshop on Saturday.
She described the sessions as teaching some of the basic techniques for acting, including basic body and facial expressions, voice, movement, taking risks, 鈥渁nd most important, to have fun.鈥�

Mullen has worked on two independent films that are now in post-production, both filmed in the Saskatoon area.
The first is called 鈥淲elcome to Kitty Town鈥�, which she described as a post-apocalyptic comedy, and the other is entitled, 鈥淔inding Emily鈥�.
In the latter film, she plays a woman who tries to find what happened to a missing girl.
Mullen is unsure of a date for when the films will be released, but noted they will be shown first at a number of film festivals.
In the meantime, she is gearing up to get in shape for a new project, which will be a post-apocalyptic story to be filmed in Saskatchewan.
