The Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club had its annual summer social evening at the Wheatland Senior Centre on June 22 with a roast beef dinner followed by Bridge.
Eight and a half tables played on the 22nd and the overall winners were Barry Mactaggart and Diane Bell who were sitting east/west, second in that direction were Jerry Thiessen and Gord Bell, third went to John Whitell and George Gilles followed by Quint Patrick and Fran Franks in fourth. Sitting north/south Eunice and Bob Sambrook placed first, Isabelle Butters and Meta Murray were second, Erskine Sandiford and Andy Dumba were third and Millie Nimegeers and Bernice Carlson were fourth.
June 20 had four tables that played and leading in first place were Keith Eichel and Lloyd Muma, in second place were Marg Marinos and Audrey Warawa followed by Isabelle Butters and Margarette Bangsund in third.
With three tables playing on June 15, first place went to Barry Mactaggart and Keith Eichel and second place went to Diane Bell and Marg Stewart.
On June 13 when four tables played Keith Eichel and Lydia Milleker placed first followed closely by Andy Goeres and George Gilles in second, while Gord and Diane Bell finished third.
Milliie Nimegeers and Keith Eichel finished on top on June 8 when there were two and a half tables in play, and Jim Brown and George Gilles placed second.
Four and a half tables played on June 6 and Gord and Diane Bell finished first, Barb Fellner and Chuck Widdis came second, Carmen Vilness and Andy Dumba were third followed by a tie for fourth between Lucie Nickel and Lydia Milleker and Margarette Bangsund and Fran Long.
In July and August there will be Duplicate Bridge played on Wednesday evenings only at 7 p.m. at the Wheatland Senior Centre.
