On June 27 there were four tables in play of the Weyburn Dublication Bridge Club at the Wheatland Senior Centre. Gord Bell and Barry Mactaggart placed first having a strong night playing at over 76 percent, Keith Eichel and Warren Betker were second, and Marg Marinos and Audrey Warawa were third.
On June 29 there were also four tables that played. Jim Brown and George Gilles led in first place, Barry Mactaggart and Marg Stewart placed second while Keith Eichel and Quint Patrick finished third.
On July 6, three and a half tables were in play. Gord and Diane Bell started the month with a very strong finish at almost 73 percent, Warren Betker and Keith Eichel placed second while Barry Mactaggart and Quint Patrick were third.
Three and a half tables played on July 13. Jim Brown and George Gilles took top honours, Gord Bell and Marg Stewart placed second and Keith Eichel and Millie Nimegeers came in third.
On July 20, two and a half tables were in play and the scores were close. Diane and Gord Bell finished first with Marion Brown and Jean Knibbs placing second.
With three and a half tables playing on July 27, Warren Betker and Keith Eichel took first place followed by a tie for second between Quint Patrick and George Gilles and Barb Fellner and Chuck Widdis.
Three tables played on August 3 with Barry Mactaggart and Lucie Nickel finishing first and Roy Wallin and Chuck Widdis taking second.
On August 10, two and a half tables were in play. Jim Brown and George Gilles finished in first place and Lucie Nickel and Keith Eichel took second.
Three tables were in play on August 17 with Barry Mactaggart and Keith Eichel placing first, followed by Jim Brown and Quint Patrick tying for second with Andy Goeres and Margarette Bangsund.
For the rest of August, the Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club will meet just once a week on Wednesday evenings. In September, Club play will resume on Mondays and continue on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. at the Wheatland Senior Centre. Anyone wanting to play Duplicate Bridge is welcome to come and enjoy an evening of bridge.
