Lacie-Paige Carleton had a great time when she entered the Inked Magazine Cover Girl contest last year, so she decided to enter it again.
Carleton advanced to the wildcard round of last year鈥檚 competition. Now she has made her way to the top 10 round; she needs to finish in the top five of her group this time to move on.
鈥淚 had lots of fun with it last year, so I thought I would just give it a whirl again. I got a lot more tattoos than last year, so I thought I would go for it,鈥 said Carleton.
The new tattoos bring her total to 27, and she has tattoo appointments booked for next month.
The entire left side of her has tattoos, and one of her calves is inked.
鈥淪handa Tegart designed it for me. Just did a space theme. There鈥檚 a UFO, and an Illuminati eyeball on my knee. She went above and beyond for it. She blew my mind.鈥
She believes tattoos are so beautiful, and she would have felt boring without them. 聽
Carleton received inspiration from last year鈥檚 contest. She found out how much support there is in the community for people who enter these contests.
And she鈥檚 encouraged to see more local women in the contest this year. Last year there were five.
You can visit to vote for her. The deadline to vote is Feb. 11 at 10 p.m. Sask. time.
If she were to win, Carleton is undecided what she would do with the money, but she would get more tattoos.
