Ever since a now-infamous Maclean's article referred to North Central Regina as "Canada's worst neighbourhood" the community has been the focus of much media attention. North Central is one of Regina's oldest and culturally diverse neighbourhoods.

Through photography the "North Central Photojournalism Project: Just Us" simply sought to provide North Central youth with an opportunity to tell their own stories. After four months of basic photography instruction, the students created a visual record of their neighbourhood, from their own personal perspective.

This project is a unique partnership between students from Scott Collegiate, photojournalist Mark Taylor, teacher Susan Bear, the North Central Community Association and the Saskatchewan Arts Board Arts Smarts Program.
