聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 Arcola School hosted its annual Christmas concert on Thursday, Dec. 17, at both 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Audiences at both times were thoroughly entertained by the students who had put a lot of hard work and effort into their performances.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The program started off with the singing of 鈥淥 Canada,鈥 with the grade four and five class singing the national anthem, while also signing the anthem.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Pre-Kindergarten kids were the next up to perform in front of the amassed crowd. Singing and completing choreographed actions along with the song were done wonderfully as they sang 鈥淟ittle Rabbit FooFoo鈥 and 鈥淪hoo Fly.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Kindergarten class were the next on stage. They performed 鈥淪-A-N-T-A鈥 and 鈥淛ingle Bells,鈥 and despite technical troubles during the afternoon performance they sang wonderfully for the crowd.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The grade one class was welcomed to the stage as they performed 鈥淐hristmas POEM鈥 and 鈥淏litzen Boogie,鈥 which had everyone dancing in their seats.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Next up was 鈥淭he Little Christmas Carollers鈥 and 鈥淐hristmas鈥 by the grade two class who did a fantastic job in front of the crowd.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Grades three and four brought with them a costume change as they sang 鈥淪hine a Light for Peace鈥 with a light inside of a mason jar, which was followed by 鈥淏aking Christmas Cookies鈥 where students donned a chef鈥檚 hat and apron.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The grade four class then took to the stage with 鈥淛ust Dance Santa Clones Crazy Christmas.鈥 Beginning with ballerina Santa鈥檚, complete with tutus and beards, led to beach Santa鈥檚 dancing and rock and roll Santa鈥檚.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淥ld Toy Trains鈥 and 鈥淚 Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas鈥 rounded out the performance as the grade five class took to the stage. 鈥淥ld Toy Trains鈥 was sang, accompanied by teacher Kierden Marshall on the guitar.
