WEYBURN - The Wheatland Seniors Centre will hold their month-end Christmas supper on Friday, Dec. 16, featuring turkey and all the trimmings.
Those interested in attending should phone the centre at 306-842-3503 or drop by to sign up their name. The deadline for signing up is Wednesday, Dec. 14 before noon.
The Duplicate Bridge Club will hold their Christmas supper, featuring turkey and all the trimmings, on Monday, Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m., at a cost of $18 per person. A bridge game will follow at 7 p.m., at a cost of $3 per person to play.
The results of games played at Wheatland from Nov. 21-25 are as follows.
In bridge on Friday, Erskine Sandiford won first; Basil Holyer came second; and Mildred Sandiford placed third. The winners of spades were Shirley Sparks in first; Gladys Lokken in second, and Fran Franks in third.
In hi-low whist, Faye Johnson and Marg Schultz won first; Marie Marcotte and Dorothy Lindskog placed second; and Chris Herlick and Phyllis Lindskog came in third.
In canasta, first place was won by Sheila Greiner; second was Marg Warnke; third was Leona Popowich; fourth was Shirley Hubbs; and fifth was Lavine Stepp.
For Kaiser, Marie Marcotte and Eva Morley won first; Fran Franks and Melba Bent came second; and Ruth Boren and Joan Harder placed third. In Thursday crib, first was Shirley Sparks and Rose Levesque; Basil Holyer and Marg Leavens came second; and Marg Schultz and Faye Johnson took third.
Bingo is held every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Wheatland Sr. Centre, and slider cards are available for 50 cents each.
