WAWOTA-The Moosomin Generals are the Prairie Girls Football League champions. The Generals played the Yorkton Lady Gridders on Oct. 31 at Moosomin. The Generals won the game 26-18. Local players are Charlie Mondor, Monroe Mondor and Amaya Drumm. Dexter Mondor is their dedicated coach. Congratulations to all.

Sympathy to Kevin and Bev Kay on the passing of Kevin's father, Henry Kay of Belleville, Ont. He died on Oct. 25 at the age of 84 years. He leaves his wife Donna and their family of Kevin (Bev), David (Patty), Philip (Cynthia) and Brian (Amy) and also grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Kevin and Bev travelled to Belleville to attend the funeral service on Nov. 2

 Gail Engle accompanied her daughter Nancy and son-in-law Stephen Eckert of Calgary on a trip to the east coast. They spent a week in Halifax where they visited with Gail's grandson, Alex Eckert. Gail also spent some time visiting with family in Calgary. 

Word has been received of the passing of Dennis Gillich at the Regina General Hospital on Oct. 8. He passed away just days before his 77th birthday. His funeral service was held at Carscadden Funeral Chapel in Moosomin and interment was at the Riga Cemetery. He was married to the former Joan Shire. 

Julie Hamilton spent a couple of weeks recently visiting with her mother, Helen Shiers, in Halifax.

The Community was saddened to hear of the passing of Adrienne Hambleton. She passed away, following an accident on Oct. 18 at the age of 36 years. She leaves two sons, Kaden and Lucas Ward, her parents, Randy Hambleton and Heather Jacques (Steven) and her sisters Randine (Mike) and Dichelle and their families and her grandfather, Rene Jacques. A funeral is being planned for a later date.
