WAWOTA Jean Bogner has had several family members visit recently. Among them were Deana Deck of Regina, and Bonnie Bogner, of Victoria, B.C. Bonnie and Jean spent Thanksgiving weekend with Brennan and Karen Hovind of Saltcoats. Recent guests were Christina Phipps Kante, Jeff Vancha, and Youssouf Kante from Victoria.

Harold and jane Laich from Last Mountain Lake renewed acquaintances in Wawota recently.

Sympathy to the family of Debra Bourgon who passed away at her home in Fort Qu'Appelle on Oct. 17. She was 64 years old. She leaves two sons, Justin and Jeremy and four grandchildren. Her funeral service was at the Free Methodist Church on Oct. 21.

Fourteen students and five adults travelled to Regina last Friday to attend the Cirque de Soleil’s Vampire Circus. The students were members of the school's Creative Arts Group.

Congratulations to Jeff and Tara Taylor on the birth of a son on Oct. 10. He weighed eight pounds, one ounce, and has been named Luke Jeffrey. He is a brother for Kaleb, Karsten and Madison, and a grandson for Garth and Lorraine Taylor of Wawota and Dale and Bev Adams of Yorkton.

Word has been received of the passing of Ralph Lothian of Deer View Lodge on Oct. 20. He was 83 years old and a former resident of Carlyle. His funeral was at the Carlyle United Church on Oct. 25. Sympathy to the family.

Happy birthday to Sanjo Barnechea, who turned 13 on Oct. 21, and his sister Sandra, who celebrated her seventh birthday on Oct. 22. A combined birthday party was held at the Wawota Drop In over the weekend.

Sympathy to Dawn Moncrief of Oxbow on the passing of her husband Ross on Oct. 8. He was 74 years old. He leaves wife Dawn and step-children Paula, Barry and Richard Lamontagne.

Norma Lamontagne and Lea Kushner travelled to Duncan, B.C. to visit with Don and Pat Jane and their families.
