WAWOTA - The Wawota Museum held their annual spring tea and bake sale on May 27. There was a good turnout and Colleen Greenbank of Regina won the grocery hamper.

Happy anniversary to Don and Helen Gurski, who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last Saturday. This event took place in Kennedy.

Sympathy to Bernie Williamson and family on the passing of her brother Ken Fribance of Yorkton. He was 85 years old.

Monique Myers travelled to Brampton, Ont., where she visited with Ken and Lisa Hall and infant daughter, Alexis. After a weeklong visit, she travelled to Aylmer, Que., where she visited with several family members before returning home.

Congratulations to Katelyn Ethier and Cheryl de Roo, who have obtained rural class C certificates in local government. Debbie Saville was acknowledged on her retirement from rural administration after 20 years of service.

Sympathy to Jason and Ransel Barnachea and family on the passing of her mother, Romana (Remy) Balbuena. The family travelled to the Philippines for the funeral. She was 86 years old.

Happy birthday to Dorothy Mieltz of Moosomin, who celebrated her 105th birthday on June 2.

Kara Bunz and Darla Sauter spent two weeks motoring to Florida where they were picking up Kara's trailer. We enjoyed their postings on Facebook. It sounded like a Thelma and Louise type of trip. (Minus Brad Pitt).
